Top 3 Green Giveaways That People Will Actually Use
Posted on August 10th, 2009 No commentsDo either of these situations sound familiar? You’re preparing to go to a client meeting, but you don’t want to show up empty-handed… or perhaps you’re getting ready for a trade show and need to find a green giveaway that will send the right message to eco-conscious attendees.
In either case, you’d like to give people something that reflects your green values and that they will actually use. You can’t give them just anything – and certainly not something that will quickly end up in the landfill.
Here are the top 3 green giveaways that we have found:
- Bookmarks: Anybody who likes to read knows that you can never have enough bookmarks. By giving out bookmarks, you can make sure that clients remember you and your business at all times (even when they’re in bed catching up on a bit of late-night reading). A bookmark printed on 100% recycled paper will not only help your clients remember the page they were on, but it will also help them to remember you and your business.
- Notepads: How often have you looked around for paper to jot down a quick idea only to find that there’s nothing handy? It’s happened to all of us. And of course, many of us still walk into meetings with notepads instead of laptops. With a custom printed recycled paper notepad, every time your clients need to write something down, they can see your company logo and information. It keeps you top-of-mind, it’s green, and it’s useful – not a bad combination!
- Calendars: Imagine a beautiful calendar hanging in your client’s office. Perhaps it’s a serene landscape to take them away for a few minutes in the middle of a busy day… and on every page is a reminder about your company. A nice calendar printed on recycled paper with vegetable inks will remind your clients year-round about your green values.
At our own events, we have distributed bookmarks and notepads and found that people are appreciative of receiving items that they can actually use (and of course, they can be recycled when they’re doing being used). Have you used these as giveaways? How have they worked for you?
