• Digital or Offset: Which is Right for You?

    Digital printing technology has come a long way in recent years, with many digital presses now boasting quality that rivals offset. But is digital printing right for every print job? And what role will offset printing play in the future of commercial printing?

    The short answer to these questions is that both digital and offset will continue to play important roles, due to their respective strengths: Digital for short-run and variable data jobs, and offset for longer runs or jobs that print using special inks or substrates (such as packaging). As digital printing continues to advance, it will likely bite further into offset’s market share, but for now at least, there remains a need for both.
