Greenerprinter Goes Back to School with UC Berkeley’s Caltopia
Posted on August 24th, 2010 4 commentsGreenerprinter was an integral part of this year’s Caltopia, recognized as the largest experiential college lifestyle festival in the nation. Billed as “The greatest two days on planet Earth,” this event has become such a part of the Berkeley campus experience that details of the festival can be found on Wikipedia.
Caltopia gives over 30,000 University of California Berkeley students, administrators and campus supporters a chance to experience the latest products, services and programs from local and national exhibitors. This year, the two-day event was held on Sunday, Aug. 22 and Monday, Aug. 23.
Where does sustainable printing come in? Greenerprinter is the exclusive printer for Cal Recreational Sports (the campus resource that also created and hosts Caltopia) and our green signage and printed products were displayed throughout the event. And for this year’s festival, Greenerprinter sponsored the Caltopia and printed a QR Scavenger hunt in an effort to raise awareness for the use of QR (Quick Response) codes on campus.
Like Greenerprinter, UC Berkeley has a history of evolving in bright, new directions to support environmental endeavors. In fact, in November, 2007 UC Berkeley’s Office of Sustainability formalized a “Statement of Our Commitment to the Environment.” By July of 2008, the office had mapped out nearly 200 campus energy efficiency projects.
It’s clear that UC Berkeley intends to be a leader on environmental issues, and partnering with Greenerprinter for eco-friendly signage and printed materials is a strong step in changing business practices.

Thanks so much for this downright page;this is the stuff that keeps me awake through these day. I have been searching around for this site after I heard about them from a buddy and was thrilled when I was able to find it after searching for awhile. Being a avid blogger, I’m dazzled to see others taking initivative and contributing to the community. I would like to comment to show my support for your blog as it is very energizing, and many bloggers do not get admiration they deserve. I am sure I’ll be back and will send some of my friends.

Strange this post is totaly unrelated to what I was searching google for, but it was listed on the first page. I guess your doing something right if Google likes you enough to put you on the first page of a non related search.
