We've spent the first quarter of 2010 working on some accomplishments that we're eager to share with you: Our new SGP certification, QR codes, express checkout and new recycled paper notepads. See below for more information about each of these new additions:

Greenerprinter is the First California Printer Certified by SGP

We're proud to announce that we're the first printer on the west coast to be certified by the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). SGP certification puts us in an elite group of just 19 printers nationwide and advances our commitment to offering sustainable printing that you can trust.

SGP certification is distinguished by its requirement that a company demonstrate a holistic approach to sustainability. "Sustainability" as defined by SGP is not limited to the environmental dimension, but is expanded to include areas such as "corporate social responsibility" and "corporate citizenship". Additionally, SGP qualifies its members based on 3 categories: Product (based on materials used), process (manufacturing steps used to produce the product) and envelope (areas that support manufacturing activities, such as our building, grounds, utilities, and employees).

Because of this extensive criteria, SGP certification represents a thorough vetting of a company's commitment to sustainability. And though we've been demonstrating this commitment for several years now, it's always gratifying to be recognized for doing it.

Make your print interactive with QR codes!

If you haven't heard of QR codes yet, you will soon. QR codes can transform an ordinary printed piece into an interactive experience. Now Greenerprinter has made it incredibly simple for you to add one of these magical codes to your artwork, right on our site!

There are lots of potential applications for QR codes:

• Add to a banner (see above) and users can automatically be taken to an event schedule or other relevant web page.
• Add to your business card, and your contact info can automatically be added to a user's address book.
• Add to a brochure or postcard, and users can automatically get directions to your location via Google Maps.
• Add to a real estate flyer, and users will automatically be taken to an online listing with more details about the property.
• Add to a hang tag or packaging, and users can find out more information about your product.

The possibilities are almost limitless. QR codes are taking off fast, and soon we're likely to be seeing them everywhere. Be one of the first to take advantage of this amazing technology!

Introducing express checkout for return customers

If you're a regular Greenerprinter customer, chances are you tend to ship your projects to the same place using the same shipping and billing methods over and over. We understand it can get a little tedious to have to re-enter this information every time you place an order. That's why we've introduced express checkout.

With express checkout, you can complete your order from within the shopping cart with a single click. All of your shipping and billing information will be picked up from your most recent order.

We're certain this new feature will help make your ordering experience with Greenerprinter easier and more convenient than ever!

New item: Notepads!

We've been printing notepads for years now, but we've always handled them via our Custom Quotes page. But now, by popular demand, you can order recycled paper notepads directly from their own page on our site.

In addition to being handy promotional tools that can keep your company's logo and contact information in front of prospective customers, notepads can also be used as tear-off pads for coupons and other offers. You can even add a "kleenstick" adhesive strip to the back so the pads can be mounted on shelves, display cases, etc. And of course, our notepads are printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper.
