FAQ

To place an order with us, you’ll need a Greenerprinter account. It’s free to sign up and only takes a few seconds. The account ensures we can match your information with the products you order. It also lets us track any previous orders you made so you can reorder anything you want more of.
If you forgot your password you can either use the ‘Forgot your password?’ button at the bottom of the page when you go to log in or you can email csr@greenerprinter.com about the issue.
Net 30 refers to the term used on invoices to signify how many days a client has to pay their invoice. The net 30 application allows you to apply to be a part of our credit program. If approved, you won’t have to pay for your order immediately and will therefore have 30 days to make the payment in full. For more terms and conditions regarding application prerequisites, please contact csr@greenerprinter.com.
PCW stands for post consumer waste. This means the recycled material used in PCW products comes from waste that has already been through commercialization and ended up in homes across the country. Reusing this waste material has even higher sustainability benefits than using pre-consumer waste, in other words waste that hasn’t touched the hands of consumers yet.
If your design files aren’t done yet, you can still place your order. The order will simply wait in our queue until artwork has been added to it which you can do in your account or by emailing the artwork to csr@greenerprinter.com. Be advised that turn around time doesn’t start until your proof has been approved, so waiting to submit your artwork will not change your turnaround time.
We offer a great deal of mailing services at Greenerprinter!

We can break up your order into different quantities and send them to various addresses.

If you’re sending out mailers or any other product that will just be one copy to many different addresses, you can also provide us with an excel sheet of the names and addresses you’d like your products sent to. When designing files for this purpose, make sure to follow our mailing guidelines to ensure your order runs smoothly and can get to your customers on time.
Besides our silk or gloss coated stocks, we also offer an aqueous soft touch coating that can be applied to any of our coated stocks for a soft and smooth finish.

If you’d like to see an example of this you can place an order for a sample kit for free and email csr@greenerprinter.com that you would like a soft touch coating sample to be included. This will of course be free of charge as well. Because this coating is water soluble, the paper is eco-friendly and can still be recycled.
At Greenerprinter, we know the only way to ensure true sustainability as of now is to use only paper based products. This ensures that we use renewable resources through our FSC Certified stocks and that everything is made from recycled materials and can also be recycled at the end of a product's life.

We use digital and offset presses to ensure that we can complete a variety of different jobs.

Our offset press is a Heidelberg Speedmaster which is the top of the line in offset technology. This ensures that we have the least amount of waste possible by having the most reliable technology on the market today. Digitally imaged printing plates are developed in our "Chem-free" processor which uses only non-toxic processing fluids that have a longer lifespan than traditional, more toxic chemicals. By foregoing traditional chemicals, we can keep VOC’s down which ensures the health and safety of our staff and our world.

Our digital presses are the HP Indigo Press and the Heidelberg Versafire. Our HP Indigo press offers non-toxic, long-lifespan consumables and uses considerably less energy than competing technologies. Our Versafire’s have digital print capabilities for short-run jobs which allow us to print only the quantity needed at the highest quality possible.
Yes! We have a wide variety of templates for many of our product offerings. Check out our templates here. If you can’t find one that fits your needs you can always resize a template that we have or you can reference our document set up guidelines so you can make a project of your own. If you’re still in need of a template, contact csr@greenerprinter.com to see how we can help you complete your project.
If you’re not sure how to go about making a dieline, or cut line, for your project feel free to check out our templates to see if we have what you’re looking for.

If your needs are very specific, our team can make a dieline for you. This might incur extra charges especially if we don’t have what you're asking for already in our files. After you place an order, we’ll give you access to the dieline so that you may add your artwork into it and ensure a perfect fit.

If you have questions about this process or if you have a specific die line in mind, contact csr@greenerprinter.com to help you with your request. You can also submit a custom quote so our team can get more details on your project and help you even more.
If foil stamping is what you’re after we can do that for you. This is not a service we advertise because of its negative effects on the environment. Any paper that has foil embossing or debossing on it can no longer be recycled because of the fusion of two different materials.

Foil stamping is done with a physical die of the shape/logo you’d like foiled. For this reason, there is a charge to make that die as well as a charge for the foiling itself. If you’d like the same thing foiled on another project, we can reuse the die and you won’t be charged for the die-tooling cost.

We understand that sometimes foil is necessary for you or your client, so we do make the service available. If you’d like to see what color options we have contact csr@greenerprinter.com to see what foils are currently available.
You’re free to place as many orders as you’d like! You can even have them shipped together which could bring down your shipping costs considerably. Just email csr@greenerprinter.com to let us know what order numbers you’d like shipped together.
Generally, accounts are made for one specific person.

There is an option to include your company name when you make an account. Including your company will ensure all of the different people with Greenerprinter accounts at your company will be linked. That way we can look up orders from anyones account under one company name.

You can also choose to CC someone else’s email if you wish for them to receive any updates about your order, including proofing, production, and shipping updates. To do this, email csr@greenerprinter.com and list all of the emails you’d like to be CC’d on any emails we send your way.
Sample kits are our free gift to you! You won't be charged for the kit and there is a small $0.49 charge for USPS first class shipping.

If you are hoping to see samples of anything in particular, feel free to contact csr@greenerprinter.com and let us know what else we can include for you free of charge of course.
According to B Corporations website, “B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. In order to achieve certification, a company must:

  • Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards.
  • Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.
  • Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.”

All of this to say, we care about our employees, our practices, and our impact. Through B Corp certification we can hold ourselves to that standard and show everyone how we do it.
A Forest Stewardship Council certification means that the forest we use for our resources is managed responsibly from maintaining conservation values and ensuring biodiversity, to protecting workers rights and community relations with the local people. To read more about the principles that FSC Certification guarantees you can read through their website or contact csr@greenerprinter.com for more details
Our offset press can process sheetfed pieces of paper up to 20”x24”. Because the press uses some of this space to guide the paper through, your designs should be no bigger than 19.5”x23.5” including bleed.

If you’d like large format printing, please contact csr@greenerprinter.com detailing your needs.
Our general mailing services include

Our partnership with Carbonfund.org allows Greenerprinter to reduce its carbon footprint by offsetting the emissions generated as a result of the shipment and delivery of printed materials. While Greenerprinter has done everything possible to reduce the environmental impact of its internal operations, Carbonfund.org helps us to minimize the additional impact of what happens after a project leaves our facility.
Our sample kits are shipped for free using USPS First Class shipping which can take 5-7 days. If you’d like it to arrive faster, simply email us at csr@greenerprinter.com and we can expedite your shipping. You will be charged for the expedited cost.
Greenerprinter uses soy, vegetable, and algae-based inks which are less harmful to the environment than their petroleum-based counterparts. These have evolved to VOC levels of zero percent, down from conventional commercial sheetfed inks that measure VOC levels of 25-35 percent. VOC stands for volatile organic compounds which can be released into the atmosphere during printing. By eliminating VOC’s, we can protect our staff and our environment from harm.
We offer standard CMYK process colors which stand for cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. These four colors can be combined to make any color you see on printed products today. We also offer Pantone colors if you need a specific branded color.
Greenerprinter has thought of preserving our world in every decision it’s made. Besides sustainable inks and carbon neutral facilities our main claim to fame is our paper. Our house paper has the smallest environmental footprint in North America’s paper industry. Our paper vendor is FSC certified and shares our same eco-friendly values.

Another thing that sets us apart from other printers is that nearly all of our manufacturing is done in-house — giving us full control over our sustainability efforts. Any vendors that we use are carefully vetted to ensure that their practices are also sustainable and are in line with Greenerprinters mission.
