Of course!
We offer a free paper sample pack where you can request a generic booklet sample.
If you are looking for a Physical/Hard Proof of your artwork:
1) Select ‘Hard Proof’ as your proofing option on our product order page.
2) After the order is placed, we will produce a physical sample, ship it to you, and wait for your approval before starting production.
3) If you don’t approve your proof and would like to cancel your order, we will give you a full refund minus the cost of producing the sample.

| What file formats do you accept for designs? |
The preferred file format for Greenerprinter orders is PDF. By sending us a PDF, you are helping to ensure that your job proceeds quickly, smoothly, and with no unexpected “surprises.”
We also accept Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign files, but these may incur additional charges and increase the turnaround time.

| Can I choose a different paper type for the booklet cover and interior pages? |
Of course!
This is a great option for creating booklets that can be easily written in while still having a thicker, protective cover.

| Do you offer different paper finishes, like silk, gloss, or uncoated? |
Yes! Our house paper stocks include silk, glossy, and uncoated options. We even have a kraft board option for a more natural look. All of our papers are recycled, eco-friendly, and FSC certified.
| Can my books or booklets be recycled? |
Most likely, yes! To be sure, it is a good idea to check with your recycling provider for recycling rules specific to your area.
In general, saddle-stitched (stapled) and perfect bound booklets can be thrown into the recycling bin as is, including any staples or glued binding. The glue we use is a polyurethane reactive adhesive so it’s durable and recyclable.
Wire-O bound notebooks can also be recycled, but you should separate the wire from the paper pages before throwing them into your recycling bin.

| Are my books compostable? |
The pages in your book are compostable, however, the spines use materials that are not. Please remove any staples, glue, or wire and throw them away, before putting pages into your compost pile. We also recommend shedding the pages before adding them to a home compost pile.

| Can these books stand up to frequent use in a kitchen? |
All of our binding styles can work well for cookbooks, however, perfect binding and Wire-O binding may be ideal for more durable books. Wire-O binding has the additional benefit of laying completely flat when opened.
| Am I able to print small quantities of my cookbook as gifts or limited editions? |
Of course! We have no minimum amounts, so you are welcome to print small batches for family and friends.
| How many recipes fit in each binding style? |
This depends on how long your recipes are and how many pages each one takes up. All binding methods can hold a large number of pages. Saddled-stitched books are able to hold the least with a maximum of 60 pages.
| Do you offer any papers that are waterproof or spill-resistant? |
All of our books are printed on high-quality recycled paper. Unfortunately, this paper is not waterproof. We recommend keeping your printed books away from water and other liquids. Our silk and gloss coated stocks will not soak up liquids immediately unlike our uncoated and kraft stocks.
| How do I make a family cookbook? |

- Gather all of your recipes. Make sure each one includes the ingredients, the kitchen tools needed, and the steps needed to make the dish.
- Decide if you want to include photos or illustrations. High-quality photos will make your food pop and illustrations can add color and personality to your book.
- Plan the cookbook structure. Will you break your recipes up into categories or put certain recipes that go together on the same page?
- Design your cookbook. Designs can be made in Adobe products like Illustrator or InDesign, Google Docs, Word, and other design and word processing software. Online templates are a great starting place.

The best way to preserve handwritten recipes is to create a custom cookbook with them. In this book, you can digitize the recipes and include images of the handwritten versions so they’ll never be lost. When you’re ready to print your custom books, Greenerprint will be here for you.

A cookbook can include as many recipes as you want. Most include between 15 and 300 recipes.
